Today we went ring shopping and decided on a bridal set which consists of a gorgeous platinum diamond engagement ring and a matching platinum wedding band for Annie, and I got myself a decidedly handsome platinum wedding band to complement her set.
Platinum is currently at an all-time high value of $2200 an ounce and is expected to be at about $2500 midyear. By year end it can be close to $3000. It's a good thing we're buying our wedding rings now, otherwise we would have to pay $300-$800 more by year end.
